Why Mel B cried after Spice Girls reunion announcement

After 9am, Melanie B, Melanie C and Geri then visited Emma at Global's headquarters to appear live on the Heart London breakfast show, which was extended beyond the normal 9am finish time.

They will complete a 6-date United Kingdom stadium tour in June. We really support her and she's really supporting us.

She went on to reveal: 'I was sick out the window but it blew.' prompting Mel to finish: 'Yeah, I do remember that, it blew into my mouth!'

It has been teased that more dates will be added to their 2019 reunion tour, with the girls first appearing in Manchester, before finishing at London's Wembley Stadium on 15 June.

During their radio appearances on Wednesday, the girls confirmed that it had been Mel B who had been the driving force behind the reunion.

"She obviously was and still is a huge part of the band", Mel C told bandmate Emma Bunton, who co-presents the station's breakfast show with Jamie Theakston. The conversation also touched on when Chris and Geri used to date in the 90s, with Mel B reacting to Chris saying he knows Geri "inside out".

In a video shared on the band's newly created Twitter account, the four remaining members staged a mock news broadcast to confirm the tour, featuring them starting to sing one of their old songs. "It would have really bothered me if I didn't say that".

Evans also tried to catch out support act Jess Glynne when she phoned-in to the interview, though Glynne stayed on-message and said she has been booked for six dates.

"This is not my job, this is my life and my girls".

Re-posting a video of the announcement, Geri simply tagged the Spice Girls' official Instagram account - and wrote: "hai-Si-ja-hold tight".

But Mel B later said: "Can I just rectify something?"

The five-piece group formed in 1994, split in 2000, but reunited for a world tour in 2007.
