Iwobi Can Get Better With Time - Emery

Goalscorer Alexandre Lacazette said Arsenal had belief in themselves to compete with table-topping Liverpool after they battled back to secure a 1-1 draw in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Arsenal missed out on the Champions League over the last two seasons, having qualified for 19 successive campaigns under long-term boss Arsene Wenger. We push each other every day in training and in the games. He (Emery) is important.

"But you can see we are moving forward as a team and we are defending well together".

"Dembele can be decisive and today he helped us with a great goal that allowed us to get the next". By the beginning of September, he'd worked his way back into the starting XI, which coincided with a remarkable run of form that saw the club win 14 of 15 matches in all competitions coming into their game with Liverpool.

"We knew we would not lose this game because we were so good and showed that character again".

"I think when you're watching a game and you're looking at your team and manager going "it needs a change but I'm not sure who he's going to bring off here", it's exciting for Arsenal fans".

WHEN ARSENAL hosted Liverpool, it was widely accepted that we would get a true barometer reading of how far the Gunners were progressing under Unai Emery.

Speaking recently, Unai Emery said: "Aaron and the club can speak and he can think for his individual contract with the club and with his thinking maybe of the possibility that he won't continue here".

'But Arsenal had two or three options to pass the ball, and that makes life pretty uncomfortable for the three midfielders.

"There's a really good team chemistry here and a winning mentality". Because first half we were not compact enough, the three in midfield had to do too much and then the one time we don't close the half-space, they play the ball through and could score the goal. We needed to be more solid - that's something to learn from.

"We could have kept our shape better in the first half".

Such is the close nature of the fight to stay in the Premier League, that Newcastle United's first win of the season, a 1-0 victory over Watford, lifted them straight out of the relegation zone having been there since September 1.
