Tennessee lost starting left tackle Taylor Lewan to a concussion, quarterback Marcus Mariota was in and out of action due to an elbow injury that clearly hampered him on two third-quarter interceptions, and tight end Delanie Walker suffered an ankle injury that looked like the worst of the three.

Lightning forced a pair of delays in Sunday's freaky Dolphins-Titans game that turned out to be the longest game in National Football League history.

The game was unremarkable prior to the delays, with both teams living up to their low preseason expectations in a dud of a matchup the Dolphins led 7-3 prior to play restarting for good with 6:47 left in the third quarter.

And when the game finally returned from the second lengthy weather delay, Fox wasn't quite ready to return in full form. That included a 102-yard kickoff return by Jakeem Grant and a 75-yard touchdown pass from Tannehill to Kenny Stills, as well as a 54-yard interception return by Reshad Jones that helped seal the win. Lewan was removed from the game following the play.

The Titans face Houston in their home opener next Sunday. Coming back from knee surgery, he played for the first time in 21 months with mixed results.

"I wasn't as sharp as I like to be", he said.

Walker had four catches for 52 yards before leaving the game late in the fourth quarter.

ANTHEM: Colin Kaepernick, a leader of the protest movement by NFL players against social injustice, tweeted his support after Dolphins receivers Stills and Albert Wilson knelt during the national anthem. "Really, there has been a huge difference between when we first started protesting and now. Lots of carbs, so we will do some conditioning tomorrow". "Let's keep doing our best to make positive change and have these conversations and make our country a better place".
