The Mystery of Omarosa Manigault | Unexamined Premises

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman, who kicked off her book tour on Sunday, finally admitted to keeping silent about President Donald Trump's racism.

The audio was released as Manigault Newman gears up for the release of her new book, "Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House", which contains several unflattering claims against the President and his staff. Omarosa claims to have multiple recordings of her time in the White House, but numerous claims she has made are unverifiable.

"But I think it's important to understand", he adds, "that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be, you know, you can look at, look at your time here in, in the White House as a year of service to the nation".

Omarosa Manigault has been all over the news this week with excerpts from her new book, where she's accused President Donald Trump of racism, said he's mentally declining, and claimed to have recorded conversations with him without his knowledge.

Manigault Newman's book and recent revelations about her recordings have received significant pushback from the White House, and numerous claims she has made are unverifiable, leading to finger-pointing and accusations of dishonesty from both Manigault Newman and top Trump allies.

"No", Trump said when Manigault Newman told him chief of staff John KellyJohn Francis KellyMORE had fired her.

"I have documentation, a whole treasure-trove of documentation for everything you see in this book", she said. He could not go into specifics about why she was sacked or how she was able to get a recording device in the room.

But the Situation Room recording raised questions about whether she had breached security protocols in a room that is supposed to be devoid of personal electronic devices.

Other than by media osmosis, I have no idea who Omarosa Manigault Newman is.

Meanwhile, the GOP's official Twitter account blasted her.

Trump suggested that her dismissal was in large part related to her standing with the staff.

Spicer rebutted Manigault Newman's claim that he signed a non-disclosure agreement and called her assertion that he was paid hush money "false".

Ms Newman, whose tell-all book about her White House tenure is to be released tomorrow, left the administration in December.

Manigault-Newman had appeared on Trump's TV reality show, "The Apprentice", as well as the reality show "Celebrity Big Brother".

Her book claims the president uses racial slurs, even toward senior White House aide Kellyane Conway's husband. The Situation Room is the inner sanctum of the White House.

But Frank Luntz, a political consultant who is reportedly mentioned in Newman's book, called her claims a complete lie.

CNN host John Berman said during his interview of Short that Trump had repeatedly promised to only hire "the best people" in his White House.

'She should be taking credit for all the great gains that this president has made with respect to that low unemployment number among African Americans, ' Conway said.

"I had a blind spot where it came to Donald Trump".
