Why Real Madrid has ended their interest in Eden Hazard

Reportedly, the Belgian goalkeeper will be available for as low as €35 million since he is in the final year of contract at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea star has emerged as a possible marquee signing for Real following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

Hazard's future at Chelsea FC has been a constant source of speculation this summer after the Blues missed out on qualification for next season's Champions League. Since then, they have been reported to be in the market for a new Galactico as they look to compensate for the Portuguese's exit, as far as tangible contribution is concerned.

The Blues have been heavily linked with moves for Higuain and Daniele Rugani in recent weeks. In recent weeks though, it's been Hazard who has reportedly become their top target.

Dani Carvajal has high hopes for life under new Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui, who he believes always gets the best out of his teams.

The La Liga giants have been relentlessly pursuing Courtois this summer, with the Belgian goalkeeper keen to return to the Spanish capital and Chelsea resigned to losing him.

Chelsea are readying a £30million bid for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey before the transfer window shuts.

Real Madrid have made a £100 million swoop for Chelsea duo Willian and Thibaut Courtois, according to claims from the Daily Mail.

Chelsea were thought to be looking for a world-record £200m for Hazard - but reports in Spain suggest Real have ruled out a move.

But they may face some tough competition for the Brazilian's signature now that Real Madrid have entered the race to sign him.
