Demi Lovato hospitalised for drug overdose

The 25-year-old singer was hospitalised on Tuesday afternoon after what is reported to be a case of drug overdose, stated news agency AFP.

We're hoping Demi pulls through and gets well soon.

According to People, the singer is now in stable condition.

A Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman confirmed to AFP that emergency responders transported a 25-year-old woman from an address that matches Lovato's to a hospital, but did not identify her by name or state her condition.

Selena Gomez's mom, Mandy Teefey, sweetly took to Instagram on July 24 to post a throwback pic and heartbreaking message about Demi Lovato after the singer was hospitalized for an alleged drug overdose.

In her song, Lovato adds, "I'm sorry that I'm here again".

Since news of Demi's scary incident went public, many of her friends have been speaking out on social media with well wishes and concern. The statement continued, "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now".

In addition, Demi Lovato's scheduled performance in Atlantic City this coming Thursday has been cancelled. On the song "Sober", she sings the lyrics: "Momma, I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore/And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor".

It was sentiment shared by Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart, who recalled the influence the singer had on her in her younger days.

A former Disney child star, Lovato has been open about her struggles with addiction as well as depression and eating disorders.

In an interview with BillBoard, he said: "We could go the manufactured pop machine [route] and try to present this ideal image all the time".

"Just officially turned 6 years sober".

Phil McIntyre, Demi's manager previously insisted Demi speaks openly about her life to "let people in". "She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family".
