Family stages man's corpse with him playing video games at wake

Despite being from New Orleans, Matthews was apparently a huge fan of the Boston Celtics, and his favorite things to do were to play video games and eat junk food. His wake was on Sunday afternoon and Matthews' family chose to prepare his body in a way that will allow them to remember him the way he lived his life.

Body of dead teen was honored in a very unusual way as his corpse was positioned in a chair facing a television screen with PlayStation pads in his hands and his favourite snacks next to him.

Renard was also pictured wearing his favourite player socks in a scene made to look like a typical, family home. According to local New Orleans news station, WGNO, "Matthew's mother Temeka says her son was a bit of a homebody, who only recently started to venture out to walk the dog she'd recently gotten him". Police have not yet arrested a suspect.

Renard Matthews died in a shooting June 25 near North Tonti and Independence streets.
