6 women, 4 men blindfolded, hung from ceiling in India

In a shocking incident on weekend, 11 members of a family were found hanging in their home at Sant Nagar in North Delhi.

The family owned a grocery shop near the local gurdwara and also run some furniture business.

One of the bodies was found lying on the floor and the others hanging from a railing attached to the ceiling, media reports said. The dead include seven women.

Earlier in a similar incident in Rajasthan's Barmer, 3 dead bodies were found dead hanging in a house.

Police are yet to give further details.

. Police said the two gangs are headed by men whose enmity goes back to 2013. "It is an ongoing investigation and we haven't ruled out anything". He alerted the other neighbours and informed the police. At that time, Barmer Superintendent of Police, Gangdeep Singla had said that the post-mortem reports have no signs of rape and it looks like the family has committed suicide.

Police are questioning neighbours and scanning CCTV footage in the area for leads.
