New AirPods, Apple noise-cancelling headphones pegged for 2019

Additionally, Bloomberg has reported that Apple internally discussed adding biometric sensors on new upcoming AirPods in order to increase its health-related hardware offerings, thus stretching beyond the Apple Watch lineup. Bloomberg described the device as a "higher-end alternative to the company's Beats line", but otherwise didn't give any new details on features that could be coming to the headphones. The report suggests all three new products will land in 2019, with two potentially launching in the first half of next year. A new report claims that Apple is also developing a new set of wireless AirPods which will feature noise cancellation.

When Apple launched AirPods in 2016, the earbuds went on sale with limited supply following a delay. Unfortunately, it might not be possible to give them Ingress Protection, but it means that they will be able to keep out water from light rain and perspiration.

It's unclear exactly what the new HomePod will look like, but it's likely the Apple product that needs the most work.

They'll cost more than the exist $159 AirPods, giving consumers a baseline and higher end model - similar to the iPhone. The company will reduce its reliance on smaller hardware maker Inventec Corp. and expand its partnership with bigger manufacturers like Foxconn Technology Group. This particular model is expected to arrive later this year. We don't know much about these, but Bloomberg's sources say that they'll be Apple-branded. Apple is planning on refreshing it in 2018 with a new chip and hands-free Siri support.

Little is said about the over-ear headphones other than that they would come from Apple, rather than Beats, and be created to "compete with pricey models from Bose Corp. and Sennheiser".

Apple was also working on a wireless charging case that was compatible with the upcoming AirPower charger. Apple is working on a new version of the HomePod for as early as next year, and it could switch production away from Inventec for the latest model, according to people familiar with the relationship. A spokesperson for Apple declined to comment on the leaked information.

In addition, Apple will also be updating the HomePod sometime next year.
