Prince Louis's christening: Kensington Palace names the date

On April 23, two months ago, another heir to the British Royal throne was born: Prince William and Duchess Catherine's son, Prince Louis.

The tot will be baptised on July 9 at the Chapel Royal of St James's Palace in central London.

On Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted at Celia McCorquodale and George Woodhouse's nuptials.

Not only is the selection of reverend special, but the location has an important role in the family's history as well.

It will take place at The Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, London - the same place Prince George was also christened. Sister Charlotte, on the other hand, was christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church at the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk. In anticipation of seeing the family of five out together for the first time ever, here are all of the known details of Prince Louis' christening, from the venue to the outfit!

Meghan was also confirmed shortly after her baptism, meaning that she was then able to join her husband at Holy Communion. It was the setting for Queen Victoria's wedding in 1840 to Prince Albert.

In keeping with royal tradition, Prince Louis will be baptized at the age of three months old.

"I have been the Patron of the [Defense and National Rehabilitation Centre] for 4 years and I have enjoyed every single moment of it", Prince William said.

"We'll no doubt have the official christening photos, as we did with Prince George and Princess Charlotte".

If his siblings' ceremonies are anything to go by, Prince Louis' christening will be a private affair.

The staff of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall marked the occasion by sharing a touching photo of Prince Charles holding William as a baby on Twitter and Instagram.
