An Angry Ronaldo Refuses to Renew Contract With Real Madrid

Spanish football player Jorge Resurreccion " Koke" warned here today about the danger of Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who he will face on Friday in the Spanish's World Cup debut in Russian Federation.

Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be "very angry" and "absolutely disgusted" with what he deems to be a "derisory" contract offer from Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo admits that with the rise of Mo Salah, the Ballon d'Or is no longer a two-horse race between himself and Lionel Messi.

But after Salah's incredible 44-goal season with Liverpool, Ronaldo now sees the Egyptian as a major threat for the best player of the year award.

While Ronaldo cast doubts over his own future with Real Madrid shortly following their Champions League final win last month.

"In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that have always been on my side", he told reporters.

It's true we play according to our opponents, we study them and we don't just look at Cristiano individually, but at the end of the day we look at the whole group, which is what matters, ' Koke added, who is playing in his second World Cup after having been to Brazil in 2014.

The 33-year-old admits a tough Group B opener against Spain on June 15 is not ideal, but he remains confident the European champions will reach the knockout rounds.
