Video game stories from other sites on the web.

So what do you think of the new information for Mega Man 11?

Mega Man 11 is set to release on October 2, with pre-orders up and running now. What's more, it'll be released in physical format along with digital for those of you that prefer the format.

We're also introduced to the new Double Gear system.

Mega Man 11 and Mega Man X Collection 1 + 2 will make their public playable debut at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, CA at the Capcom booth (South Hall, #2223) from June 12-14, 2018. This allows you to handle tougher platforming sections that may be going a little too fast for you. You can turn each gear on and off at will with a quick button press, but pushing Mega Man to his limit will cause him to overheat, preventing him from using the Double Gear system until he's cooled off a bit. Players can only use one of those abilities at any single time.

The release date reveal came as part of a trailer posted on the Mega Man Twitter account Tuesday, which shows the game's new animation style, cheesy voice acting, platform jumping and boss battles. Oh, and here's the box art and a better look at the Mega Man amiibo in all its blueish glory. The Power Gear can also be combined with any special weapons you pick up from defeated bosses, making it a devastating tool. The Amiibo Edition is a GameStop exclusive in the United States. Hopefully the game ends up being worthy of the Mega Man legacy.
