Former Obama Adviser Targeted By Roseanne Barr

In the post-firing tweet, Barr apologized to "all the wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet". Overnight Barr retweeted messages of support from fans but also asked them not to defend her comment.

The tweet was later deleted and Barr apologized, but the damage was already done.

ABC immediately canceled the reboot of her show, explaining that "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values". What "leaving Twitter" means is unclear. Standard Media Index, another industry tracking service, estimated that advertisers spent an average of $167,159 per 30-second ad during the show in April, which made "Roseanne" ABC's most expensive show. "We are all greatly distressed by the disgraceful and unacceptable tweet from Roseanne Barr this morning", the agency wrote in an internal memo. "Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste", she said. This week's victor - and the latest to succumb to the temptation to say something stupid - is Rosanne Barr and her racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett. As with the Jarrett tweet, many of Barr's comments were replies to others' tweets. Barr claimed late Tuesday night that she posted that apology after the show was canceled, in response to some, like MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell, who claimed it was a network forced apology.

Barr no doubt feels sick for herself, her co-stars, her crew and everyone associated with her show.

"I'm sorry 4 my tweet, AND I will also defend myself as well as talk to my, go away if u don't like it".

"I am hurt, embarrassed, and disappointed".

The actress, 65, on Tuesday used Valerie Jarrett's initials in her reply to a tweet which accused Ms Jarrett of being involved in an Obama administration cover-up.

They said: 'Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values and we have made a decision to cancel her show'.

"I'm fine. I'm anxious about the people out there who don't have a circle of friends and followers who come right to their defense". "It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweetin".

In March, she tweeted conspiracy theories about the Parkland shooting survivors.

In it, she shares of a photo of ABC executive Channing Dungey, who announced the cancellation, and says she is "Sitting on top of your world like a Queen in full judgment of your garbage".
