Warriors open as huge favorites to top Cavs

The Warriors overcame a 15-point first-half deficit to record a 101-92 win over the home side.

The Warriors are battle-tested, and the Western Conference Finals were a flawless example of how Golden State's stars eventually come up big.

The victor of Monday night's Game 7 will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night after the Cavs beat the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals at TD Garden on Sunday night.

"You don't buy heart at the supermarket", D'Antoni said during his pregame news conference.

In fact, Houston matched the worst three-point shooting stretch in National Basketball Association history as the team missed 27 straight threes during the 101-92 loss to set a new playoff record for consecutive missed threes.

"There's no pressure. It's an opportunity, an opportunity that we all are excited to be a part of", he said.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr is trying to figure out why his team has struggled to put together complete games in this series, but is proud that the Warriors have found ways to win despite their up and down play.

But because this is Golden State, the team that just two nights earlier did pretty much THE EXACT SAME THING, we knew why the urgency wasn't there.

The Cavaliers limp into a rematch with Golden State still unsure when Kevin Love will play.

Without Chris Paul, James Harden had team-high 32 points and Eric Gordon added 23 points in the loss.

Houston was shut down after that, scoring a combined 47 points in the final three quarters (including 25 in the second half and nine in the fourth). The Warriors did that in both Games 6 and 7. It's easier to go with the Warriors if Chris Paul is ruled out for tonight's game. "It's what you play for, to be in a situation where you're one win away from going to the finals". Harden shot 36.7 percent from 3-point range during the regular season, but he's shooting an abysmal 26.2 percent from long range during the series, and that number includes a 5-for-9 performance in Game 1.
