Honor 10 officially launched in India for a price of Rs 32999

Huawei sub-brand Honor launched its high-end Honor 10 phone in global markets, including India, on Tuesday. The smartphone inherits the colour changing glass design from the Huawei P20 series of smartphones, which gives this smartphone a unique look depending on the angle of light hitting the smartphone. The device will be available online exclusively via Flipkart. The smartphone also has an iPhone X style notch on the top, which houses a microphone, front-facing camera and a couple of sensors.

The smartphone is running on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo OS with custom iOS style EMUI 8.1 skin on the top. the EMUI is a custom Android OS based skin developed by Huawei/Honor, which offers a sleeve of features which are missing on the stock Android OS. The honor 10 is maintaining its position as one of the affordable flagship phones available. The phone has a 16MP RGB camera with a f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and LED flash and a 24MP monochrome camera with f/1.8 aperture. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 Octa-core chipset, coupled with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. For selfies, it comes with a 24 Megapixel front camera.

Battery: The Honor 10 is backed by a 3,400mAh battery. You can recharge the device in just a few minutes of time via USB Type-C port which comes as a charging point. The Honor 10 has an industry first ultrasonic fingerprint sensor located under the glass, which allows users to use the sensor even when their fingers are wet.The fingerprint sensor is placed on the front of the device.

The device comes to India in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue color variants, while it launched in four color variants in Europe. The phone is now making its way to more countries, after China and India, it is also now up for the European countries. The Honor 10's cameras can identify 22 real-time objects and 500+ scenes, and then accordingly it can assist in bringing more out of your photos, according to Honor. It also has face unlock which is said to be super fast. It is here where the Honor 10 really stands out from the crowd. The Honor 10 features two cameras on the back, a reflective back, and its back side is curved.

Honor is bringing only the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the Honor 10 to India. But the company has made a decision to skip the 64GB variant in India and will be only selling the 128GB storage version.
