Speak To John Legend Using Google Assistant

Up until now, creating a new voice took hundreds of hours in a recording studio.

Meanwhile, Google is adding a new Editorial Picks section to the Assistant's Explore page.

During I/O 2018, Google Home can do a bunch of new things as Google's smart Assistant got updates, as the search engine giant revealed. Instead, the assistant will understand when you're talking to it, versus someone else. And today, those voices are now live in the Google Assistant preferences.

Google's voice assistant has six new voices, including a gender neutral option and one from John Legend. "It makes you a better entrepreneur, a better leader, a better philanthropist, a better friend, a better lover". Can you guess which one is the musician?

Even on a small scale, I can see it happening in my life. Further, the Assistant would soon be able make calls for you to make reservations at restaurants or salons.

You can have food using Google's latest food pick-up and delivery feature.

Imagine not having to spend time making appointments. Google's AI was calm, composed, friendly, and eventually finished the task. The most exciting part of the keynote at Google I/O was the demonstration of Google Duplex.

But what if we don't see these ads?

With Siri, Alexa, and the Google Assistant some people are anxious that children are becoming bossy. FreeTime blocks access to Alexa features like shopping, news, or third-party services, and also encourages kids to say please and thank you via a feature called Magic Word. Your Google Home will reply with, "thanks for asking nicely" then issue the command.

After selecting a particular voice, you can tap on the speaker icon on the right to preview each voice, before selecting one.

Earlier this year Google debuted Routines for the Assistant.

In March, Google rolled out Routines, which allows a single phrase to initiate multiple commands.

An upgraded "Time Spent" initiative helps you keep track of (and limit) how much time you spent using various apps, an effort to help you feel the "joy of missing out" - you know, JOMO.

The Google Assistant is on the way to become more standard and easier to use. We're hearing this will be available on all devices in the coming weeks. If they don't, the Assistant will guide them with right direction before answering their query. You just need to surf through menus and order from different places like Applebee's and Starbucks. Alexa can also vary the intonation and speaking volume more than Google. "Game researchers have noted that a lot of customization is available in video game characters, but it doesn't stop players from choosing super sexy female characters that don't wear a lot of clothes", said Dr. Sweeney.

Now, seven new device types are being added to the native controls in Assistant. All I really care about here is being able to say, "Ok Google, make my coffee in 10 minutes" to get my morning joe. Google wrote in its blog post.

The I/O 2018 was a certain hit with Google announcing a host of new features across its product portfolio and also introducing Android P. However, all that changes now with the addition of an ability that enables users to create custom routines and also to schedule routines for a specific date or time, which would be rolling out a few months down the line.
