IPhone SE 2 Potentially Spotted At Regulatory Agency: Launch Imminent?

One of these models is anticipated to be the iPhone SE 2, replacing the 2-year-old iPhone SE as the new low-priced option in Apple's smartphone lineup. While the LCD 2018 iPhones will ship with the option for dual SIM, Kuo also confirmed reports that the 6.5-inch OLED model, too, will come with the same flexibility, but not the 5.8-inch iPhone X.

According to KGI Securities analyst, the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD display will come with the support for dual SIM configuration. If true, this will be the first time ever that Apple will launch an iPhone with a dual SIM setup.

The price of the single-SIM iPhone should be between $550 and $650 whereas the dual-SIM variant could cost around $650 to $750. The single SIM model is said to cost between $550 and $650.

Already, the expert Ming-Chi Kuo seemed to provide reason to feel ambiguous about an iPhone SE 2 back in January, saying that Apple wouldn't have the inner assets to build up another model.

It's not news that Apple will be offering a budget iPhone, at least according to the leaks and rumors. that will be the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, also the only LCD iPhone in this year's roster.

"All in all, Apple's decision to launch a 6.1" LCD iPhone at a price of $550 appears kind of shady. Last year, Apple didn't release its iPhone X until November.

Apple's iPhone X smartphone, which was unveiled in September previous year, is hugely profitable and accounted for 35pc of total smartphone industry profits in Q4, 2017. Apple is also reassembing the iPhone SE units in India.

Early production should start in May, with capacity doubling the following month, Taiwan's Economic Daily News claimed.

Meanwhile, Consomac has spotted Apple's recent regulatory filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Russian Federation. And speaking of Apple's expensive flagship, iPhone X profitability puts the rest of the industry to shame. The analyst added that if the company did release a new iPhone SE model this year, it would only be an iterative upgrade with minor improvements, not major enhancements such as wireless charging or 3D sensing. That means eschewing some of the most innovative features that make the flagship handset so different from all other iPhones that Apple has debuted. The iPhone X SE would ship with an LCD display.

The 2017 report said the iPhone SE 2 would be manufactured exclusively by Taiwanese manufacturer Wistron, and that it would be powered by Apple's A10 Fusion chip alongside 2GB of RAM and up to 128GB of local storage.
