The Chinese star finished at 5-under 67 at Ko Olina Golf Club.

Lee, 21, typically a model of consistency who has not finished worse than 26 and has five top-six finishes this season alone, will need to hit back early, hard and often tomorrow if she's to regain the title she won in 2016 with the field chasing red-hot leader, Brooke Henderson.

Henderon shot a three-under 69 Saturday to extend her lead to four strokes.

Still just 20 years old, Henderson is just two wins shy of tying Post, George Knudson and Mike Weir for career victories by Canadian professional golfers.

"I've been kind of struggling with my putting all year", Henderson admitted.

But Henderson's round came unstuck with a double-bogey on the par-three 16th, followed by a bogey on 18 to turn what had looked like being a solid two-under score into a one-over 73. "I watched the playoff and the grit and determination that she had, I was like, 'I can do that too.' I kind of owe a lot to her this week".

A win or sole runner-up finish could have allowed Park to move back to No. 1 on the Rolex Women's World Ranking for the first time since 2015.

She was scheduled to tee off 1:12 p.m. Hawaii time before deciding to pull out.

Pernilla Lindberg and Inbee Park were back together again on the leaderboard at 6 under, two weeks after Lindberg beat Park on the eighth extra hole in the major ANA Inspiration.

Henderson is wearing a yellow and green ribbon on her shirt to honour the 16 players and team members killed in the Humboldt Broncos fatal bus crash.

Ji Eun-hee was the second-best finisher among Korean golfers at the Lotte Championships, finishing tied for 11th at 3 under par along with KLPGA Tour golfer Kim Ji-hyun who played under invitation.

Starting Thursday, the LPGA Tour will continue at the inaugural Hugel-JTBC LA Open in California.
