Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sun Risers Hyderabad

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) following a foot injury, it was announced on Saturday. "The Sunrisers bowlers used the knuckle ball well, something we also need to look into", he said.

The performance of Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav, particularly, is one positive for the Knight Riders from this game, Karthik feels. But Bhuvaneshwar got back at Karthik (29 off 27 balls) by slipping in a knuckle ball which the batsman edged to the wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.

With two wins from two matches, SRH lead the table ahead of Chennai Super Kings on net run rate.

Bhuvneshwars breakthrough and a tidy two-run over by Stanlake had KKR struggling for 23/1 in four overs before Lynn and Rana seized the momentum in two overs off Siddharth Kaul and Rashid Khan who leaked 14 and 12 overs respectively in their first overs.

Hyderabad were truly on course to register their first victory at Eden Gardens after Shakib Al Hasan hit two fours and a six off an Andre Russell over.

The 2018 U-19 World Cup victor will be replaced by Karnataka fast bowler Prasidh Krishna.

Lynn was the lone KKR crusader in the middle but a sensational diving catch by Shakib off his own bowling denied the Australian a half-century as the star Bangladeshi cricketer once again did his job in the middle overs.

Manish Pandey took another fine catch running backwards to send back the unsafe Andre Russell as Hyderabad continued to claim wickets at regular intervals to check Kolkata's charge.

Soon after KKR's innings resumed, Pandey took a blinder at point to cut short another Nitish Rana innings when it was in its prime by pouching a fierce square-cut on his second attempt after flying to his right.

Nayar is close to KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik and helped him during his lean patch some time back.

Hyderabad will be sweating while selecting the playing XI.

KKR made three changes with U-19 World Cup winning batsman Shubman Gill, Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson and U-19 World Cup seamer Shivam Mavi replacing Rinku Singh, England all-rounder Tom Curran and out of form Karnataka medium fast bowler R. Vinay Kumar.
