'American Idol' night 2: Who isn't going to Hollywood?

'American Idol' night 2: Who isn't going to Hollywood?

American Idol continued its auditions in different cities across America and featured 15 hopefuls advancing to the next round during Monday night's two-hour broadcast of Season 16 on ABC. I wrote down in my notes that he was the best of the guys up to that point in this episode - and then seconds later, Katy Perry said the same exact thing. I mean, can you blame her?

Interesting Katy who was single at the time of filming flirted with some of the contestants.

Brandon, a 21-year-old college student from Ashburn, VA, who now resides in Boston, MA, sang "Unaware" by Allen Stone and received three yeses from the judges. He has an old soul sound to his voice with some gravelliness and I like it, but he's so nervous so I hope they work with him on that.

Usually when we hear a voice like that, the singer is much older than 17 and has a lot more experience under their belt.

Gabbii Jones, 20, St. Louis: Her father has given her 30 days to make her dreams of stardom come true, or else she's got to get a job.

Autumn Wood, 27, Katy, Texas: The library clerk came in dolled up in what Katy described as "glamazon" style, but her version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was weird: She sounded like Cher with a bad cold. He has a great voice, but we already knew that since he got so far in 2010. After he sang "Don't You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia, all three judges gave him a return trip to Hollywood, and Lionel hugged him.

The pair both started dancing with her, but Katy stole the show when she took a tumble. He's going to Hollywood and I'm not sure he's going to go far, but we'll see.

David Francisco, 25, wowed the judges with his vocal talent as well as his inspiring story. While he was recovering, he got a letter from his friend Christie and they fell in love. I like this guy's vibe and tone to his voice.

"I'm amazed by the falsetto to the point of just wanting to remove myself from the room for a minute", Lionel gushed.
