PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds 2018 Plans Revealed As Fortnite Overtakes

Even larger is an overhaul of the entire Third Person and First Person mode animation system to increase smoothness and reactiveness, including new animations for switching auto seats or entering a vehicle.

"PUBG" is still a popular game, but hacker security has recently become an outlet for chaos.

The succeeding map will go back to the default larger area and will go through the test servers first just like the one before it.

The full roadmap can be read on the official site but PUBG is not keen on giving specifics on many aspects as far as timing is concerned so it's a little vague in that respect. Unlike the existing 6x6km maps Erangel and Miramar, this new island map will only be 4x4km in size, with the intention of making rounds faster and more frantic. Even its recent launch out of early access and going free-to-play today can not save H1Z1 so in response to all of this, Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene finally took to community to lay out plans for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in 2018 and it's about damn time.

It's been a rough week for PUBG Corp., as the studio continues to crack down on the rampant cheating problems facing its flagship game. Additionally, for a UI update they hope to add in Achievements, in-game friends list, and main menu voice chat support.

As is to be expected, new vehicles and weapons are also in the works, and the blog teased a new 7.62 weapon that will be coming "soon" to the test server.

"This year we're committing to a major content delivery cycle every two months, the first of which is planned for this month".

A new eight-kilometer by eight-kilometer map has also been confirmed, though further details weren't provided.

Greene shared the development team's plan to add a test server for both developers and players to try out the changes.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now on PC and Xbox One. Certain topics commonly discussed by the community may have been absent from the roadmap, like balance and crates, but those were likely beyond the scope of the roadmap.

Nevertheless, PUBG players now have a document with which to hold PUBG Corp. accountable and PUBG Corp. has made public their plans to keep fans happy. Animations, parachuting, and bullet penetration are also facets of PUBG being worked on for improvements. And that kind of transparency in development is exactly what fans have wanted for a long time now from PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. The game is now available for the Xbox One and PC.
