Stephen Curry sprained his ankle for the second time in a week

As Slater points out in the tweet above, it's not this particular ankle roll that is concerning for Curry and the Warriors, or any single ankle roll for that matter. The earliest he could return is for Wednesday home matchup with the Lakers.

Curry missed 11 games in December with the sprained right ankle and injured it again last Friday at Atlanta. "Kevin was instrumental in that, just kind of taking over the huddle and taking over the game". "It's great to hear that he's OK and he'll be fine sometime soon, but it's just always a hold-your-breath type of moment when that happens".

If the Warriors are not healthy - and, specifically, if Curry is not - then the door is opened for others to spoil their fun. There were 13 ties and seven lead changes.

It took less than three minutes for the Golden State Warriors' nationally televised Thursday night showdown with the San Antonio Spurs to turn into a bummer for Dubs fans. He immediately ran towards the tunnel before coming back out to sink both his free throws.

Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge drew a foul on Green after a 3-point attempt with 3.1 seconds left, though he made only two of three foul shots. "We've proven we can win without him".

Steph Curry said a variety of reasons are keeping him out from the Olympics, including some injuries.

Golden State's coaching staff will play it safe with Curry's most recent ankle injury, and Steve Kerr already said that Steph will not be on the floor in Portland during his postgame press conference on Thusday night. The report added that Curry re-injured the same ankle he tweaked in Atlanta almost a week back. Last Friday, after rolling his right ankle when he collided with Zaza Pachulia near the Hawks' basket late in the first quarter, he finished the first half strong.

Curry makes the Warriors a special team. He needs one more 3-pointer to reach 200 or more 3s for the sixth straight season, which would tie Curry for an National Basketball Association record of most such seasons - and also for doing it in successive years.

"I'm impressed with the youth movement that's going on in our country right now", Kerr said.
