Do hospital workers get the flu vaccine? Not all, data shows

The health department reported the latest child death on Tuesday.

Officials are reporting eight new deaths, six in the past week and two others that occurred earlier in the flu season but were just recently reported. Last week saw the fewest number of new cases in Blair since the week ending January 20. All but one had an underlying health condition. Interim findings show effectiveness for this year's flu vaccine was 36%, which was on the lower end of the typical range of flu vaccine effectiveness of 40-60%.

"It's been quite a while that individuals have perceived that relationship with flu season and advancement of a heart assault", said Dr. Kevin Schwartz, an irresistible ailment doctor at Public Health Ontario.

Specifically to Tennessee, the CDC reported a decline in the most current week for both the total number of positive flu reports in the state as well as the total number of patients visiting the hospital with flu symptoms compared to the previous week.

"It's been nearly a pandemic", said Dr. Amesh Adalja, an infectious disease expert for Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and a Pittsburgh physician. It was also the deadliest week for the flu, as 30 people lost their lives to the virus.

"We also developed a communication plan to ensure that our employees and physicians not only understood the revised policy, but the rationale for instituting these changes", Lambrecht said.

More than 74,000 flu cases have been reported since October 1.
