What's it like to win gold at the Winter Olympics?

Much has been made of Olympics rapprochement between North Korea and South Korea, which are still split by war.

South Korea's Park Jong-ah and North Korea's Jong Su-hyon, members of the joint Korean women's ice hockey team, together hold the Olympic flame as final bearers at the opening of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in PyeongChang on February 10, 2018. She passed on a message from Kim, who invited Moon to visit Pyongyang "at a convenient date".

Asked whether it was hard for him to see Jong Un's sister sitting behind Vice President Pence at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Warmbier said: 'No, she's in the Kim family, ' suggesting that he did not attribute the same blame for his son's fate to her as he does to her dictator brother.

Moon apparently cited the conditions necessary for an inter-Korean summit.

Otto Warmbier's father has spoken about North Korea's participation in the Winter Olympics and said his presence at the Games is not "political".

Since then, scenes of reconciliation between the two Koreas were seen under liberal South Korean presidents Kim Dae-jung and Roh Moo-hyun but they disappeared over the past decade under the subsequent conservative governments of South Korea.

Moon is joined by his national security director, intelligence chief, chief of staff and the unification minister. He also urged North Korea to engage in talks with the United States.

It's worth noting the question now is the sincerity of Pyongyang's outreach. "For three months, she nearly starved because the North Korean soldiers came and they took control of that area".

After months of silence on whether it would even take part in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the South, the Games have driven a rapprochement on the peninsula, while the North's athletes, performers and delegates have dominated the headlines.

They were seated not far from a section of North Korean cheerleaders who are attending the Olympics in a sign of warming ties between the two Koreas that Pence and other USA officials have warned against.

Moon's desire to engage North Korea was in contrast to his United States ally. North Korea has tested a record number of missiles previous year and has shown no interest in abandoning the country's nuclear program.

The 2018 Winter Olympics are officially underway after the opening ceremonies!

While both the naturalized and South Korean-born players used English words for basic ice hockey terms such as "shoot", "pass" and "change", the North Korean players did not use any English terms.

If that happens, then the USA might lose its seat in any future talks to end North Korea's nuclear program - and it might harm relations with a staunch ally in the process.
