The Surge 2 Announced, Coming 2017 for Consoles and PC

In fact, according to reports, Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 have just announced the renewal of their partnership for the development of The Surge 2.

The Surge 2 plans to keep numerous original features that players enjoyed the most, with hardcore combat, dynamic limb targeting and deep character progression all set to return, but this time the great formula that makes the game what it is, is set to be expanded on further still. With the announcement of The Surge 2, it seems that the developer won't be working on Lords of the Fallen 2 in the near future. Whereas the original game had a more narrow focus on its setting, this new title will apparently include "a sprawling, devastated city with larger and more ambitious level design".

As well as new weapons to help players battle their way through the unfamiliar environments, we can also expect more abilities, implants, and drones, along with deeper character progression.

There's more information on the game that will be coming very soon, as Focus Home Interactive will be hosting an event in Paris from February 7th to 8th called "Le What's Next de Focus".
