Dalton baby is new face of Gerber

From among thousands of babies, Gerber CEO and president Bill Partyka explained that Lucas was picked thanks to his charming smile and cheerful expression.

Artist Dorothy Hope Smith submitted the first hand-drawn picture which has appeared on Gerber Baby Products since 1931. "He's very bubbly. He loves people", Cortney says.

A baby from Georgia with Down syndrome has been named Gerber's 2018 Spokesbaby.

She said she entered the Gerber Baby contest after hearing about it from a relative. Gerber launched its Photo Search contest in 2010 and has annually been choosing a baby to represent their brand.

Lucas grins in the photo that won him the title of Gerber Spokesbaby.

Lucas's mom, Cortney Warren, told Today.com she made a decision to enter her son in the contest on a whim, after a relative showed her an advertisement for it.

According to the family, Lucas loves a capella and has just started signing the word "more" in American Sign Language.

Lucas' mom hopes that people see more than his disability. "He's got an awesome personality and he goes through the milestones of every child".

The Warrens will receive $50,000 as the grand prize winners, and Lucas will be featured on Gerber's social media channels throughout 2018. His father, Jason, said he wants his son to always look back on this moment as something he can be proud of.
