That being said, Globo Esporte report that Manchester United are now negotiating the signing of Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain.

Globo Esporte report the club were keen on a move to bring the player back home as long as there was a "remote possibility" of the deal happening.

Sao Paulo, the club where Moura honed a reputation as one of the game's brightest young talents before leaving for PSG in 2013, had been monitoring the situation.

The same article states that the 25-year-old attacker has agreed to the January move given the winger's lack of opportunities at Parc des Princes in the 2017-18 season.

Moura made only 5 Ligue 1 appearances this season for PSG, none of which were starts.

Lucas has fallen behind world record signing Neymar and loan signing Kylian Mbappe in the pecking order at the Ligue 1 giants in the current campaign.

But is Moura the right fit for Manchester United?

Dybala is apparently ready to make the move to Old Trafford provided he can be guaranteed weekly wages of £400,000.

Reports have claimed that United are only interested in a loan deal until the end of the season.

United have plenty of attacking support in Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, but they need an effective No. 10 in the squad.

Brazilian winger Lucas Moura is understood to be high on Jose Mourinho's wish list for January, and is open to joining the Red Devils if the clubs can agree on a deal.

BetVictor's Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt said: "Brazilian winger Lucas Moura has indicated he would welcome a move away from French champions PSG with Manchester United 2/1 favourites from 4/1 to persuade him to move across the channel".
