Secret Service Spotted Fire Atop Trump Tower

The Fire Department of NY says the fire started around 7 a.m. Monday at the building that contains U.S. President Donald Trump's home and business offices.

The Fire Department reported three injuries, two of which were not life-threatening.

Aerial viewes showed fighters on the roof while the high-rise emitted smoke from one of its corners. Mr Trump was not at the 58-storey tower. Donald Trump's son Eric Trump has praised the fire department for their work. It's not known if the injured are civilians ore firefighters.

The FDNY responded just after 7 a.m. Firefighters got the fire was under control in about an hour.

US President was not present there as he is now in Washington.

The fire seemed larger than reported because of the amount of smoke billowing from the roof of the skyscraper. Trump Tower, located at 721 Fifth Avenue, is home to President Trump's family and is protected by Secret Service. NY time, reportedly by Secret Service agents.

"There was a small electrical fire in a cooling tower on the roof of Trump Tower", the Trump Organization said in a statement. "The men and women of the #FDNY are true heroes and deserve our most honest thanks and praise!" Many joked about the building being on fire.
