Belichick also added a familiar sentence that has become routine talk in New England as he prepares for the team's upcoming game.

The Patriots, who have the No. 1 seed in the AFC, are 13.5 point favorites over the Titans in the Divisional Playoff.

That possibility glowed brightly late last week when an ESPN report suggested a power struggle and dysfunction within the Patriots' hierarchy of Belichick, owner Robert Kraft, and quarterback Tom Brady.

The New York Daily News reported on Friday night that Belichick sees "an opening to get to the Giants," according to a source close to the coach. The story revealed Belichick reportedly didn't want to trade quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and isn't a fan of Brady's trainer, Alex Guerrero, among other things.

When asked Monday about the report calling him "furious and demoralized", Belichick was dismissive. I've already commented at length about that situation. "So I don't have anything to add to it".

"Again, he's the commissioner", Belichick said.

However, in a joint statement from Kraft, Belichick and Brady, the trio said media reports suggesting a rift are "unsubstantiated, highly exaggerated or flat out inaccurate".

Kraft and Belichick have since had a falling out over that trade, the report said.

"When you're lucky enough to have someone exceptional, you let them do their job and you get out of the way", Kraft told TheMMQB.

An article last week implied that the situation with the team was so bad, it might be the previous year that Brady, Kraft, and Belichick will be together. They won their first Super Bowl in the 2001 season.
