Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sun)

While handing out the ban and fine, the Football Association said that Arsene Wenger accepted his abusive language and behaviour which was improper and questioned the integrity of the match official Mike Dean.

The Arsenal manager will be banned from the touchline for Sunday's FA Cup tie at Nottingham Forest, the first leg of the League Cup semifinal against Chelsea next week, and a English Premier League match with Bournemouth on January 14.

Wenger has never lost at this stage in the competition but after a busy festive schedule, admits he will make changes to the holders' starting XI.

Nottingham Forest caretaker manager Gary Brazil he will not be the manager of the Reds on a permanent basis.

"I spent time you would not believe going to see how managers worked, travelling in my vehicle at night and watching the training in the morning, then going back home again".

Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Sead Kolasinac, Olivier Giroud and Nacho Monreal are all injured.

Nottingham Forest striker Daryl Murphy is an injury doubt having come off in the home defeat against Sunderland.

Nottingham Forest most recently played to a scoreless draw with Leeds United on January 1.

The FA have taken a dim view of Wenger's withering censure of Dean, but Nottingham Forest have at least seen the amusing side.

Theo Walcott has hardly featured for the visitors this season in the Premier League although he remains a threat in the cup competitions for coach Arsène Wenger's men, with four goals in eight appearances. Steve Bould will probably be calling the shots, but I don't expect that Arsenal will be too negatively affected by le absence of le boss. Per Mertesacker will come back in because Calum Chambers is absolutely broken.

"Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Alexandre Lacazette won't play but the real concern is that defence".

"We had a normal training session today and the players have been bright and noisy, which is a good indication they're happy, so they got on with their work".
