Roy Moore's wife reveals Jewish lawyer's identity and he's a practicing Christian

Kayla Moore made the "one of our attorneys is a Jew" comment during a December 11 rally for her husband, who lost to Jones in Alabama's special election after multiple women accused Moore of sexually assaulting them as teens.

Her name is Leigh Corfman, and she was among the first group of women to come forward.

"The decision to sue Mr. Moore and his campaign committee was hard, but they need to be held responsible for their actions", Corfman said. The lawsuit, filed in Montgomery Circuit Court, asks Moore to publicly apologize.

Corfman told The Washington Post in November that when she was 14 years old Moore - a 32-year-old assistant district attorney - took her to his house, undressed her, touched her over her underpants and bra, and guided her hand to touch his genitals over his underwear. Wishnatsky was a staff attorney at the Alabama Supreme Court from 2013 to 2016, when Roy Moore was chief justice, then joined the foundation, which advocates for religious right causes, such as opposition to LGBT rights and abortion - stances that Roy Moore famously took at the court. Jones was sworn in as a senator on Wednesday.

The lawsuit spells out a number of instances where Moore or his campaign surrogates denied her claims and attacked her character and motives.

On the campaign trail, Moore called the allegations false and his accusers liars.

As a natural result of Mr. Moore's and the Moore Campaign Committee's defamatory statements, Ms. Corfman was forced to take a leave of absence from her job until after the election, resulting in lost wages and further economic damages capable of being measured in money in an amount to be proven at trial.
"I believe they are brought only to stop a very successful campaign, and that's what they're doing". "By this lawsuit, I seek to do what I could not do as a 14-year-old - hold Mr. Moore and those who enable him accountable". And I tell you all this because I've seen it all, so I just want to set the record straight while they're here. She is asking for a declaratory judgment of defamation, a public apology from Moore, and a court-enforced ban on him or his campaign publicly attacking her again.

Corfman isn't seeking financial compensation outside of reimbursement of the costs and expenses of the lawsuit.
