Justin Timberlake announces release date for fifth album

Almost five years removed from delivering his two-part 20/20 Experience project, Justin Timberlake has lifted the curtain on a follow-up effort.

Justin Timberlake announced on social media Tuesday that he's releasing a new album.

"It feels so earthy", says Williams.

Even without albums, Timberlake has kept putting out music, scoring a mega-hit in 2016 with "Can't Stop the Feeling!" a giddy summer song that appeared in the animated film "Trolls".

Justin Timberlake's Man Of The Woods is set for release on February 2, with the first single dropping this Friday, January 5. Find the teaser clip below.

Man of the Woods arrives next month. "But more so than any other album I've written (it's inspired by) where I'm from".

There's also footage of Timberlake with his wife Jessica Biel, and their son, Silas - plus a clip in the studio with frequent collaborator Pharrell, who shares a few thoughts on the project.

Man of the Woods will be available to buy, stream, and download from 2 February (18).

For Timberlake, "personal" usually means something akin to using a Britney Spears lookalike in a video and implying she stepped out on him, so how this new style will pan out for the pop singer is anyone's guess.

Viewers all over the world will be tuning to see if Timberlake makes another unforgettable performance during this year's Super Bowl halftime show, but until then JT fans await patiently to see what the singer has in store for this week.
