Xiaomi Mi A1 Android Oreo beta update enables fast charging and more

LG Electronics on Tuesday announced the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo for its LG V30 flagship smartphone. Chances are the roll out may happen very soon. Mi A1 runs stock Android now (on Android Nougat), though the camera app is from Xiaomi. With the coming of Oreo, the LG V30 will get improved performance in terms of speed and battery life.

Back in November users of the LG V30 smartphone in South Korea got a preview of Android 8.0 to play with. TelecomTalk goes a bit more in-depth with the Oreo update in general as well as fast charging in another post, so if you're interested in learning more, be sure to give that a look. Now, a few months later, that device is picking up an Android Oreo beta, and it's finally adding support for fast charging...

During the testing period LG claims that it managed to gather around 500 opinions from the testers.

But Mi A1 users have one more reason to rejoice.

As mentioned earlier, as of now, LG V30 users in South Korea are receiving the update. The LG Bridge app can be downloaded from LG's mobile download centre. Alternatively, LG V30 users can upgrade by connecting to their PC using the LG Bridge programme. Now comes this great news from the software front. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB which will expandable to 2TB via microSD card. Powering the internals is a 3300mAh non removable battery.
