What's open and closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

If you're still looking for special items to fill your Christmas list, take heart.

Boots in Corsham will provide a Christmas Day service from 11am-12pm as will Shaunaks from 12-2pm.

Leisure Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Metro's regular Sunday schedule will be observed on both days, with free rides being offered from 9 p.m.to 2 a.m.

Marie Callender's: Pies and more are available from 7 a.m.to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and from 11 a.m.to 9 p.m. Christmas Day at 1600 N. 1000 West in Layton.

On Christmas Eve, most stores will open from 10am - 4pm with some opening longer from 7am - 10pm. The landfills will be open from December 27 until December 28 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Most Needs Convenience stories will close at 10:00 p.m.

Taubman Prestige Outlets in Chesterfield will be open from 9 a.m.to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m.to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve.

County Fair Mall in Summerside is open 12 p.m.to 5 p.m.

Home Depot will be opened 6 a.m. -9 p.m. until Christmas Eve when hours will be 8 a.m. -5 p.m. Kohl's, for example, is open for 83 continuous hours, beginning early Thursday until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Walmart: Walmart is open 24 hours all week and in some location Walmart will be open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, Target stores will close at either 10 p.m. or 11 p.m.

Rite Aid will operate on its normal schedule before closing at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Buses and ferries: Halifax Transit buses will run on holiday service schedules on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

St. Catharines City Hall, Enterprise Centre and City administration offices will also be closed December 25 and 26, but will be open from December 27 to 29 with regular operating hours.
