In its announcement, Headup Games said it has been working on the new game since previous year, adding that it "fully embraces the Portal license, one of the most beloved video game franchises of the last decade". And much to everyone's disappointment, it's not Portal 3.

As its title suggests, Bridge Constructor Portal is a crossover between Bridge Constructor and Portal. All that said, the series will be making a return of sorts later this month with the just-announced Bridge Constructor Portal. Bridge Constructor Portal will introduce a portal gun to spice up the gameplay and brings players back to the Aperture Science computer-aided enrichment center.

It may not be the Portal sequel that fans have been hoping for since Portal 2's 2011 release, but it's certainly an unexpected mash-up.

This may not be the Portal game that everyone wanted, but Bridge Constructor is a fun series regardless, and the addition of Portal elements should only enhance that. The screenshots show a bit more. Console versions are set to follow in early 2018 according to the developer.

Backing up a bit, if you've never played a Portal game before, I implore you to fix that problem.
